On January 22, LS Group’s industrial machinery and advanced parts manufacturer LS Mtron (CEO Chai-ho Shin) announced that the company will be participating in the technology exhibition ‘DesignCon 2024’ featuring global IT, semiconductor, and auto manufacturers. The convention is being held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California (US) between January 31 to February 1.

‘DesignCon 2024’ is a world-class technological exhibition featuring IT, semiconductors, and automobiles that has been held yearly in Silicon Valley in California (US) for over 30 years. There are over 140 global part, material, and equipment manufacturers as well as software developers participating in the event,which will showcaseall of the latest technological trends.

LS Mtron will be participating in this exhibition to promote their company and market their new products targeted at US customers. LS Mtron will be unveiling 0.175mm pitch mini quad-row B2B connector and their complete EMI (electromagnetic interference) shielding B2B connector for the first time at this exhibition to suggest a new paradigm and direction for B2B connectors. 

40% smaller than existing 0.35mm pitch B2B connectors, 0.175mm pitch mini quad-row B2B connector is an electronic part to be used in small wearable devices (smartwatches, earphones, smartphones, etc.). With its smaller size, it can be used in even smaller wearable devices,as well as allowing even more features to be applied in wearable devices of the same size. The product also features improved rigidity with its unjointed unibody metal guide that uses drawing technology, and its double contact structure ensures contact reliability. In addition, the product’s open-type construction allows visual confirmation of the soldering, improving quality reliability.

The complete EMI shielding B2B connector is a product that is currently being mass produced and supplied to global enterprises, and is used in 5G mmWave (high frequency bandwidths above 24GHz) smartphones and smart devices. Its complete 3-layer shielding structure allows it to stably transmit 5G mmWave antenna module data, and it can also resolve the noise issues that can incur during transmission of high-definition data from high-pixel cameras.
